The extraction and processing of marble (granite) involve multiple rigorous procedures:
Extraction Stage: Geological exploration is first conducted to determine the quality of the ore body. Diamond wire saw cutting or controlled blasting is used to obtain complete rough blocks (stone materials with side length ≥1.5m). Modern technology reduces the damage rate of rough blocks through infrared positioning. After preliminary shaping, the rough blocks are transported to processing plants by specialized equipment.
Processing Flow:
- Cutting & Shaping: Bridge-type diamond circular saws are used to cut rough blocks into rough boards of specified thickness, with precision controlled within ±0.5mm.
- Thickness Calibration & Grinding: Automatic thickness calibrators eliminate thickness deviations of rough boards, followed by coarse and fine grinding with multi-head grinders until the surface roughness reaches Ra≤1.6μm.
- Polishing Treatment: Resin abrasives combined with polishing agents are used to make the glossiness of the boards exceed 85 degrees. For special requirements, matte, flame or bush-hammered finishes are applied.
- Quality Inspection & Packaging: Flatness detectors (error ≤0.1mm/m) and crack detection are used, and finally products are classified and packaged by specifications.
Throughout the process, green mining technologies have achieved a waste recycling rate of over 95%, and carbon dioxide mineralization curing technology enables carbon sequestration and regeneration of processing waste.
