How should granite and marble be purchased? In terms of quality, there is little difference between domestic and imported stone materials, but the price of domestic stones is much lower. The main reason is that imported stones have a richer variety and stronger decorativeness, meaning they look better when paved. This technological gap cannot be eliminated overnight, and Chinese manufacturers are trying to narrow it. In terms of practicality, domestic stone materials are by no means inferior to imported ones.
Quality control mainly focuses on craftsmanship and materials. Dry hanging technology is popular for decorative curtain walls made of stone materials like granite, which offers key advantages such as safety, durability, neatness, beauty, and convenient construction. Additionally, stone-related materials are crucial for ensuring project quality. Apart from the stones themselves, the main materials include steel (aluminum) skeleton materials, hanging plates, hooks, structural adhesives, and weather-resistant sealants. The electroplated layer on aluminum surfaces must comply with national standards, and steel must be hot-dip galvanized or treated with other anti-corrosion materials to ensure no rusting. Structural adhesives and weather-resistant adhesives must meet national standards to ensure no oil leakage.

1. Check whether the provided stone is natural and whether its material properties meet or exceed those of natural granite (JB/T 7974-2001).
2. Quality inspection requirements: specified values or allowable deviations for dimensions, with length ≤1 mm, width and thickness ≤1 mm, surface flatness ≤0.5 mm, and diagonal ≤0.5 mm.
3. Whether the appearance quality of the granite platform is superior, and whether the color, color difference, and pattern of the blocks are coordinated and uniform.
4. Whether the platform surface has defects such as missing edges, missing corners, cracks, color spots, color lines, and pits.
5. Whether the platform surface is coated with a six-sided stone protective coating to ensure the stone's waterproof and anti-fouling properties.
6. Whether the stone has passed relevant tests by the National Stone Quality Monitoring Center, including physical properties, radioactivity, freeze-thaw performance, etc., and whether there are relevant test reports.

When purchasing, many people focus on marble and granite. What issues need attention during procurement?
The thickness should be uniform, the four corners should be accurate and clear, the trimming should be neat, and the right angles should correspond; the surface should be smooth and shiny with a brightness of over 80 degrees and no pits; the pattern should be uniform, vivid, and free of miscellaneous colors, with consistent color differences; the internal structure should be tight without cracks; the load-bearing thickness should not be less than 9-10 mm. In terms of appearance, pay attention to whether the blocks are cut neatly, as well as the surface flatness, pattern, and color.
